Solar Panel and Home Battery Rebates
BC Hydro is currently offering home solar panel and battery installations rebates for up to:

$5,000 for Solar photovoltaic (PV) panels

$5,000 for batteries enrolled in the Peak Saver program

$1,500 for batteries on BC Hydro’s eligible battery list that are not enrolled in the Peak Saver Program when paired with solar panels

EV Charger Rebates
BC Hydro and Fortis are offering up to $350 in funding to single-family, row, or duplex home customers who install an eligible smart electric car charger.
EV power management device rebate
BC Hydro is offering an additional $200 rebate for single-family home customers who install an EV power management device, which can help you install an EV charger without upgrading your electrical panel.
Peak Saver EV charger enrollment bonus
Enroll an eligible smart EV charger in BC Hydro’s Peak Saver Program for a $250 credit on your next bill and a $50 reward for every season you stay enrolled.
BC PST Exemption
There is no PST on select energy products, like solar panels, in BC! Oceanvolt can help you receive a provincial sales tax exemption on applicable renewable energy equipment. Batteries are not included in this rebate.
BC Hydro’s Peak Saver Program
While BC Hydro’s Peak Saver Program is not a rebate program, it can help recoup your investment in solar power based on your energy usage.
